Stata Mode

[The Stata mode for WinEdt 7 is available here.]

This configuration component contains highlighting, active strings, menu and tool bar customizations for Stata.


Extract the archive to the appropriate place (see below) and then execute the macro INSTALL.EDT from within WinEdt. Execute the macro by opening INSTALL.EDT in WinEdt, then go to Macros | Execute Macro...

Extract the file to %b\Config\Stata, where %b is defined as follows:

On Windows 95/98/Me and Windows NT/2000/XP working as Administrator (or single user mode)
%b is the WinEdt program directory
(usually it is C:\Program Files\WinEdt Team\WinEdt).
On Windows NT/2000/XP working as an ordinary user
%b is \Application Data\WinEdt
(usually it is C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\WinEdt
or C:\WinNT\Profiles\\Application Data\WinEdt for Win NT)

After installation Explorer opens in the target directory allowing you to open INSTALL.EDT in WinEdt.
